I am called by God, behind the mic to Sing; I don’t doubt it, I truly Believe… however it is not easy. It may look easy but most times it isn’t. There’s so much pressure before one even stands behind a microphone.

The reality is when you’re called by God and given a gift to be put on display, nothing about the calling is easy! Many times I will get caught up in the technical aspect of preparing that I “lose sight” of the spiritual aspect.

-Seeing the faces of the people out in front of the mic can add so much pressure, thinking about if what you’re doing will come across, if what you are wearing is appropriate, if everything will come back to your remembrance, if you prepared enough, did you pray enough, and the list goes on & on and so does the mind.- I digress 😉

I get to a place where I just have to close my eyes. Bring things back in to focus, remember what I am called to do,  take a leap of FAITH and begin. I often tell myself “be present. God is with you”

I know It takes true FAITH, COURAGE & HUMILITY to stand up share your voice, to be vulnerable,  and share your gift with someone else. Walking out in your calling is a bumpy, never ending road. But it’s the only walk I don’t mind taking. ((Faith)

One thing I know for sure I want God’s light and greatness to come through me. I’m reminded I am Valued by him and that I’m chosen to represent his glory by being a light and not shying away from the calling.

I just Remember this in Matthew 5:

13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Encouragement today:

Be Salt=Value (Know your worth)

Be Light-Shine (let everyone see God’s glory in You)

Blessings,

Nikko
